The news: Honda Canada priced the 2027 Passport this morning. The TrailSport starts at an MSRP of $58,740, and Honda says the trucks begin arriving at dealerships in October. Every 2027 Passport sold here is a TrailSport with the V6 and i-VTM4 all-wheel drive. Honda Canada Newsroom, October 6, 2026
| 2027 Passport trim | MSRP | Honda Canada selling price |
|---|---|---|
| TrailSport | $58,740 | $62,119 |
| TrailSport Blackout | $60,240 | $63,619 |
| TrailSport Touring | $62,290 | $65,669 |
| TrailSport Touring Blackout | $63,790 | $67,169 |
MSRP leaves out freight and PDI. Honda Canada’s selling price adds $2,000 for freight and PDI plus the A/C charge and fees. HST, licensing and premium paint are extra on both. The Government of Canada fuel rating is the same on all four: 12.7 L/100 km city, 10.5 highway, 11.7 combined.
What it means: The price went up, and not by much for what changed. On September 1, honda.ca showed the 2026 TrailSport at a $60,243 selling price. The 2027 is $62,119 on Honda Canada’s selling-price line, about $1,900 more. For that you get the reengineered suspension with 245 mm of ground clearance, 35 mm more than the 2026, plus the TrailWatch camera system on the base TrailSport, which used to need the Touring. Honda Canada also lists bigger fender flares, a resculpted lower front fascia, amber LED hood scoop lights, and a new colour, Smoke Blue Pearl.
Where the money moves inside the lineup
The Blackout package is now a $1,500 step on either trim. It was $1,200 on the 2026. Honda says the 2027 version adds black front and rear fascias to go with the black 18-inch wheels and badges. The step from TrailSport to TrailSport Touring is $3,550, the same as last year. So the base truck is the one that gained the most: it picked up the cameras and the full suspension without moving the Touring gap.
Honda Canada says the fourth-generation Passport has posted record sales since it launched in early 2025. That is the company’s own line and it gives no number with it, so take it as direction. It does fit with a price that went up rather than down.
One correction to this morning’s Rebelle Rally brief: when I wrote it, the 2027 had no Canadian sticker. A few hours later it does.
My prediction: Honda Canada will not put a customer cash rebate on any 2027 Passport TrailSport before March 31, 2027, because the company is describing record demand and just raised the price on a truck that is only now arriving. I’ll be wrong if honda.ca or the monthly dealer program shows cash on a 2027 Passport before that date.
If you’re buying right now: You now have two real numbers to compare. If the extra clearance and the cameras on the base trim are why you want a Passport, ask for a 2027 allocation and do not expect a discount on it. If a 2026 TrailSport already does the job, this is the month to ask what the program does on the outgoing year, because the gap to the new one is only about $1,900 before any incentive. This month’s Honda deals has the current 2026 program, and I can tell you which 2027 trims are actually on our sheet.
