Honda Canada has added a TrailSport Hybrid trim to the 2026 CR-V lineup, priced at $47,300. The new trim comes equipped with all-terrain tires on grey 18-inch alloys, a model-specific front fascia with silver skid plate styling, and an exclusive Ash Green Metallic paint option. The two-motor hybrid system carries over from the rest of the CR-V Hybrid range: 204 hp, 247 lb-ft, and 6.7 L/100km combined. The full 2026 CR-V update also adds a larger 9-inch touchscreen, wireless charging, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto across all trims. AutoTrader.ca
What it means: The TrailSport Hybrid fills a real gap that Honda has been leaving open for a while. Buyers who wanted something between a standard CR-V and an actual off-roader had to look at the RAV4 Trail, the Subaru Forester Wilderness, or compromise. At $47,300, the TrailSport Hybrid sits comfortably below the top-spec Sport Touring Hybrid, which means you get the unique stance and tires without paying for the leather and panoramic roof you might not want. The Ash Green Metallic is worth paying attention to — it's a differentiated colour in a segment where almost everything drives off the lot in white, black, or silver. That typically means stronger residuals on the unique colours as supply stays controlled. The switch to all-terrain tires also matters for GTA buyers: if you're doing cottage runs on Muskoka gravel roads or weekend camping, you won't need to buy a separate winter tire set with the all-terrain capability already baked in.
My prediction: Ontario CR-V TrailSport Hybrid allocations will be waitlisted at most GTA dealers by August 2026, particularly in Ash Green Metallic, because Honda is entering a segment — capable hybrid crossover — where it had no product before, and the initial allocation will be conservative. First-month buyers will drive this trim with minimal markup attached; by September, that story changes.
If you're buying right now: If you've been cross-shopping the CR-V against the RAV4 Trail and trail capability was your tie-breaker, the TrailSport Hybrid changes that comparison directly — ask your dealer what Ontario allocation looks like for June and July, because this trim won't sit on every lot.
