Step 2: Separate Kilometres From Wear

Lower kilometres are good, but they are not the whole answer. A slightly higher-kilometre CR-V with clear history, matched tires, clean body disclosure and fresh brakes can be a smarter Vaughan buy than a lower-kilometre SUV that needs money right away.

That package can be worth paying for when you plan to keep the CR-V and want a more structured ownership story.

• Ask for the original in-service date: that is the date warranty clocks usually start from.
• Ask what was reconditioned: tires, brakes, windshield, alignment and fluids matter in the real cost.
• Ask what coverage remains: factory warranty, Honda Certified Used coverage and Honda Plus are different questions.
• Ask what the CARFAX shows: accident records, open recalls and service-history entries should be discussed before you visit.

Step 4: Decide Gas Or Hybrid By Your Route

Honda Canada lists current CR-V gas models as low as 7.8 L/100 km combined with 2WD and 8.4 L/100 km combined with Real Time AWD. Current CR-V Hybrid models are listed as low as 6.4 L/100 km combined with Real Time AWD, with 204 total system horsepower.

Those numbers are current-model reference points, not a promise for every used CR-V year. The practical point is still useful: if your week is Vaughan, Richmond Hill, North York and Toronto stop-and-go driving, a hybrid CR-V deserves a look. If the price gap is wide and your driving is mostly steady highway, a gas CR-V may be the cleaner value.
