Why the Odyssey Sport-L specifically
- Eight real seats — the third row folds flat into the floor rather than eating your cargo area
- Rear entertainment system comes standard; in-floor storage bins add 94 litres of hidden space below the cargo floor
- Honda Sensing — collision mitigation, lane keeping, adaptive cruise — is included, not an add-on package
- Sport-L adds a power tailgate, heated front seats, and auto-dimming mirror over the base Sport; it's the trim most families end up in once they've seen the two side by side
- The 3.5L V6 delivers 280 hp but returns roughly 10.7 L/100km combined — respectable for what is, in effect, a living room on wheels
Where the Odyssey fits versus three-row SUVs
The 60-month lease at $338 bi-weekly +HST lands inside the payment band of most popular three-row SUVs, with one meaningful difference: the Odyssey's interior volume is genuinely larger. The sliding rear doors are also the feature Vaughan families don't think about until they've spent one winter trying to open a swinging door in a tight parking garage. Once you've lived with sliding doors, the debate ends.
Payments are shown before tax — in Ontario you pay 13% HST on each lease or finance payment, so add HST to the figures above. Quoted at $2,500 down, 20,000 km/yr, on approved credit, base Sport-L trim, per the current Honda program. The all-in OTD already includes HST. The $1,000 lease and finance rebates are available through Honda Financial Services and are applied as a cap cost or principal reduction respectively; they are not yet factored into the per-payment figures above.
